Me again!
So if you have read my previous posts - you will know that we are planning to stay at CSR on our next trip....

My question is - which time would be best as far as possible discounts go?

Right now I am looking at either one of the first two weeks in Dec. or one of the first two weeks of Feb (Before Presidents Day)..

I have been trying to look back to see when discounts have happened in the past but it seems like they have happened at both times I am planning to stay - however, we were just there in Dec. and my TA didn't mention anything about discounts and we ended up paying full price...

I can't afford to do the same thing again so I am trying to figure out which time would be the best for discounts...

Thanks

The 2nd week of December will likely not have any discounts because that is Pop Warner week (football and cheerleaders). Historically, they have not offered discounts that week. Up until 2013, we had been the 1st week in December for 4 years in a row. We have usually gotten a discount for that week, but had we gone this year for the 1st time, we were only going to get one for 1/2 the week (that isn't why we switched dates, but it made the decision easier). The 1st week of December we have never thought the crowds were bad at all (we went in October this year and it was much more crowded than we were used to in December). You do have to deal with the Christmas parade taping the 1st week of December. It is an easy work around though. Unless the weather is bad, they usually tape the castle acts on Friday, and the parade on Saturday- we typically just avoid MK those days and hit other parks.

We have not done early February, but I think it is often a discount time. I think the issue that time of year is that it is when several rides/shows can be down for refurbishment. Sometime that goes often that time of year, will have better information on the pros and cons of that time of year.

I really liked Dec. but this year we would not be able to go til the second week - so we would be there for all of Pop Warner - and like you said - I didn't think they would be offering discounts at that time :(

Hopefully some February travelers will ring in and give me some ideas of that time of year :)

February isn't so bad. The weather is milder and can get a little chilly, so layering is key, yet we had a few beautiful days where shorts and a t-shirt were fine.

Most rides are up, but Splash might very well be down, plus maybe a few others for maintenance. Crowds are okay.

The biggest draw to Feb for my Mum is that her birthday falls on the 14th- and she loves getting to spend it in MK!

My birthday is also the 14th, lol - but we will not be there for it :(

I figure any weather in FL in Feb. has to be better than the weather in NY in Feb, lol

Hopefully there won't be too many ride closures - IASW and Mine Train were down when we were there in Dec.
