Hi all

Its never too early to start planning the food element of our trip :rotfl: and im currently on a horrible diet (dust anyone?) so Im all for a bit of wishful diet free planning!!

Im not off for over 3 months but had a little question about meal reservations.

We arrive Monday November 7th (last day of Bonfire fireworks) and are leaving on Thurday November 10th.

Would it be advisable to book meals before we go?
I think maybe it would be for the Monday as Im sure there will be more crowds around for fireworks. I only have experience of a very quiet March and one kinda busy March and May.

Is it crazy busy this time of year?
Thanks guys!

Oooh and just incase anyones interested the plan at the minute is:

Monday
Lunch> Toad Hall
Dinner> Hunters Grill

Tuesday
Lunch> Auberge for me and DD / Counter service for the boys
Dinner> Parkside

Wednesday
Lunch> EoS
Dinner> Cafe Mickey/Inventions

Thursday:
Lunch > Annettes or a buffets, maybe Res Des Stars
Dinner > Maybe takeaway EoS for the journey home

I blimmin well hope its not busy - because I'll be there too :goodvibes.
I'd do what I usually do - book for Cafe Mickey about a week before I go, leave everything else (apart from first night if you definitely want to eat somewhere specific) until I get there and book at City Hall.

LOL :lmao: there will be much hoping and praying for a quiet park in my house!
DP hates ques (and traffic and any waiting really. Patience in short supply!) and while we'll be doing all kids rides theres going to be so much to pack in with the Christmas shows, parades, fireworks (and hopefully a night time show if Fantillusion is ending).

Between that and praying for no snow! :rotfl:

I think I'll book 1st nights dinner and CM for the Wednesday night just to be safe. We're going to take advantage of DS eating for free in the buffet restaurants too. Loves a bargain!

Hi,
We were there last year 7th-11th it was not too busy at all although not sure if the weather had anything to do with it. We had terrible rain everyday :sad2:.
The only restaraunt we pre booked before we left was Cafe Mickey as we had a cake for DD 4th birthday. There was 13 of us and had no problems seated we also pre booked at City hall for that days meal too and no worries about availability (hope that kind of made sense :rotfl2:). If you want to read my TR I can post you a link if you would like.

Also I would reccomend Annettes this is usually a must for us especially for their Milkshakes, mmmmm MILKSHAKE!!!! :lmao:

oh yes please, another trip report to read :goodvibes.

Forgot to say when i said it was not too busy i was not including the 11th Armistice day this was crazy busy. Sorry i was jut going on kizzabel's travel dates..... Silly me :rolleyes1

If your watching the fireworks we had a great view, we stood by the lake infront of the HNY it was very central. :goodvibes

Thanks for that Karen. Elaine i'll be joining you with a cuppa tonight to read Karens TR!
Lola and some other Disers had warned about Armitice Day so we avoided it like the plague!
Really looking forward to the fireworks. I upgraded to a lake view room in the SL incase its too bitter for the kiddies. I just hope we get a decent view!!
I get what you mean Karen! I think thats the way we'll do it (booking every day in CH) so we can chop and change if we feel like veering off my carefully organised (to within an inch of its life) planner!

Will be back on tonight as I cant see the TR properly on my phone. Thanks again
