I had to leave 1 day early for an emergency. Since I left before 11:00 a.m., told the front desk and the mousekeeper, I assume the room was ready for use that night. I know that my 60 points for the night are lost to me. But if the room is rented to someone else, does the double revenue go to defray member costs or does Disney pocket the money?

60 points? I assume you had a larger unit, and the likelihood of a cash $$$ rental for one night on short notice is pretty slim I would think. It probably sat empty. If it did rent, I think it would be considered breakage inventory (as it is under 60 days) so a portion would defray dues for that resort and the rest Disney would receive.

My understanding is that CRO would get 50% and DVC would get 50% up to the 2.5% budget limitations for a points room. But I agree it's unlikely that particular unit would be rented above all other rentals.

It was a Friday night BW view 1 bedroom, Magic Season. Maybe someone was waitlisted and when they checked in they got happy news. I hope so.

Sorry to hear you had to leave early. I hope everything is okay.
