thanks ºoº

I wouldn't count on getting into your room early. If you aren't particular where you want to be there may be an available room.

You just never know. I have been pretty lucky about getting my room early when it is off season. If not just have them store your luggage and go to DtD for lunch and shoppping and by the time you get back your room should be ready!!! :)

We checked into WL at 10am and had a room already, but you just never know. I would check in, check your bags, and head out to DTD or something =)

by the time you get to the resort from the airport, it will be 1130, they will check you luggage, by the time you get to your restaurant it will be 1200, by the time you finish eating it will be 1, by the time you get back to your resort your room will most likely be ready.

We've always been able to check into our room early except one trip when we were changing resorts. We were not able to check into our rooms until 4:30 at GF one trip. I was pretty tired by this time but very angry at myself for not planning for this contigency. Our bathing suits were in our luggage and in transport. If the front desk had just TOLD us it would have taken all afternoon I would have walked over to MK.

We got our room at around 11 am in the summer! You never know.

We went to POR in june and the room was ready when we arrived at 10 in the morning. But, you could prepare a hand bag with your swimsuit and towel to relax at the pool. What hotel are you going??? I think values are more crowded, so less chance to have your room early. :sunny:

Every year we go to DIsney (past 10 years) we usually arrive at the hotel between 10am-12. The only hotel we didn't get into early was the Poly last year. We were not able to check in until 3pm. We have stayed at all the moderates numerous times each and they always had our room ready. We always travel in Oct.

We plan on getting to Disney somewhere around 12-1 pm on Fri Dec 16, We are hoping the room is ready but not a problem if it isn't. However, we would like to maybe go to Epcot (we are at POR) and do a dinner package that evening, The candlelight/H&V. But we wanted to be back in the room relatively early, around 8. Do you think it is busy between 12-1 checkin time? I have factored in about 1 1/2 for checkin when making our plans for the day. Is this about right?

Thanks for your help

I would think check in around noon or so should be fine....our experience has been if you can get to the desk before 8 or 8:30AM there is no line to speak of as a rule, then it picks up a bit, but isn't bad through the AM check out hours. The line tends to get longer after noon... and by mid afternoon at the moderates it can be quite lengthy...with Fridays and Sundays seeming to be the biggest check in/out days. The good news is 12/16 is during a quiet time, so the lines shouldn't be bad at all. If you check in and the room is not ready they will give you a card with the number to call from your cell phone or any house phone to get your room assignment...no more waiting in line.

We like to visit WDW in October, and about the half the time our room is ready when we arrive around noon...
When it wasn't ready at POFQ, they gave us a piece of paper with a phone number to call to check if was ready before we returned from the parks. When we called the number after our room was ready, they gave us a room number and our key cards worked. So I'm thinking they already had our room numbers in the key card but mousekeeping wasn't done yet. That happend twice for us, and it was really nice to not have to go back through the check in line.
We usually pick up our own luggage at bell services rather than wait for it to be delivered to our room. Otherwise, they'll bring it up if you give them a call. Piece of cake. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc
