Early check in ?????

We are arriving very early (6 a.m. ish) on Saturday. I know the rooms are usually not ready until 2 or 3 in the afternoon, but can we actually check in that early, and come back later to our room. I know in the past if we got there to early (noon ish), we could check in, and they would give us number to call and check on the status of our room. I am hoping this is how it will work this time.

if it is not a super busy time, they might have a room ready--one that was vacant the night before--we checked in the 1st day of free dining at 10 AM and got to our room.

You may not be able to do check in until 6:30 or 7:00 AM. This is when the computers are reset for the new day. After that time you can do all your check in paperwork. As you said, they will give you a number to call back to find out when your room is ready. Depending on the resort they will probably not give you your exact room number but will tell you the building you are in. It is hit or miss when your room is ready - could be early morning or could be 3:00.

We are arriving at WL at about 10AM this Saturday, same time as we did last year. They had a room ready for us then, and we are hoping that they do the same for us this year. Depends on the resort, but it really isn't all that busy a time, so they may have a room for you.

Yes, you can check in early. We have not done it as early as 6 but have checked in around 8. Our room has been ready about half the time. You are correct that they give you a card with a number to call to see if your room is ready. I am pretty sure they the resort has called me to let me know our room is ready if I hadn't checked with them.

We leave our bags with bell services and hit the parks. Sometimes , we don't even go back right away after they call because we are having too much fun!!!

You'll be just fine. That early in the morning you never know, your room could be ready. Did you advise the hotel of your early checkin so possibly they can make sure to have it ready for you?
