Actually they will give a key but won't give a room number. They give you a phone number to call periodically to check if the room is ready and when it is ready they'll give you the number. Most will go and check in and get the luggage checked and head to the parks and come back later. BTW can you get the bellstaff to take your checked luggage up while you are gone or can that only be done upon your return?

we've always been told that you have to be IN your room for them to bring your luggage up.
