We are arriving at Disney about 9:30 in the morning. I've read that checkin time isn't until 3pm.

Will they let us check in early? Or if not... Then what do they do for guests who come in so early?

Will they just hold our bags and let us explore the park? Is there places to change clothes if we need to?

Note: We are staying at POR

What time is early check in? Is that 3:00? Do I just request it from the hotel before we leave?

yes, you can check-in when you arrive. if your room is not ready and most likely it will not be, they will store your luggage, give you a phone number to call and check on your room, and send you on to the parks and a fun day. you could possibly change clothes in the restrooms. easy as pie!

disney queen is right on. We have even pack swim wear in a seperate bag and spend the time at the pool until the room was ready.

Not sure about all the Resorts but several have nice dressing area's next to to Pool at Bathroom.....I know WL and AKL do.

We always do early check-in...and most times especially non-peak times my room has been ready...If not we make sure we are ready to hit the parks (cameras, backpacks, water, tickets) so we are on our way and not waiting around all-day. I do manage to hop back over to Resort around 2:00pm to check on room in person it's harder to say...NO ROOM YET...with me standing there, then a voice over the telephone.

Have a Great Trip,:earsboy:

You didn't memtion what kind of park tickets you will have.

If you have UPH tickets, which are valid for length of stay, you will want to check in immediately upon arrival, even if you have to check your bags. UPH tickets are coded on room keys.

Enjoy!

POR has a place to change next to the pool with lockers if you need to lock something up...I would check in and go to the park...just make sure you keep out what you need until check-in..once they take your luggage they don't want to keep bringing it out for you to get stuff out of it...

When we were at POR this Sept., we had to check out before heading to MK for one last ride through the Haunted Mansion. They took our bags at Bell Services and when we returned to the resort in the afternoon they allowed us to go into the luggage room and get a few things out of our suitcases. My husband was even able to take one of his bags (his laptop) and they marked it down - no problem. They were more than willing to accomodate us on our final day, so I don't see why they wouldn't allow you to do the same on your arrival date.

POR is beautiful, have a great trip!

...for those of you who do NOT have a length-of-stay pass, hop on a WDW bus to DTD and hit some of the BEST Disney stores around! If you DO opt for a park visit, I suggest heading straight for AK, as it takes a little less time to get through that park than, say, MK.
