Early check-in equals more time at Parks?

Hi. This is my first time posting. I just planned a trip to WDW for the end of January. This is my second trip to WDW (first trip was in 1985 when I was 10). My girlfriend and I are staying at the All Star Movies and would like to know if we were to check in around 8am would we be able to get our Ultimate Hopper tickets even though a room would likely not be ready?

Thanks for any info you can provide. We are going from 1/27-1/30.

Yes, you can get your tickets right away. You can head to the parks while you wait on your room.
