What are the chances of getting an early resort check in during these crazy times? I have a Poly stay at the end of the month and I’m just curious what my chances are of scoring a room early? I’ve read that late check outs are not happening. Does it make a difference if you are physically at the hotel?

You can always check off the box that says a ready room is more important than any requests. I had a couple requests on mine this week with a 1pm arrival indicated. I got here a little after one, and went into the app to see if my room number was there, and it said to log in to get the room number. When I did, it took me back to the home page, so I gave them a call in case it was a glitch. Turns out, they had assigned the room but it wasn’t ready. I asked if there was one that was ready, and there was (it met one of my requests, but not both, which was OK). So they switched me over and I went to the room. If I hadn’t had any requests, or if I had checked that box during online check in, I am sure I would have received a room much earlier.

I remember seeing that box now that you mention it. I will go in and check it. Thank you![/QUOTE]

I had a triple split in July. One was ready at 10 am, one at 1pm, and one at 3pm. Seemed just as variable as usual to me.

Note, I suspect staffing is thin on the Mousekeeping side and the extra cleaning takes more time. I would keep expectations low for getting in early, and if you do it's a bonus.

Obviously highly variable on the popularity/occupancy of your resort and room type. Not sure your villa view category at Poly, but since they are all studios (other than the bungalows) and the only difference is view, I'm guessing chances are they'd have a room available early if you are fine any longhouse/location. Obviously YMMV.

I was at the Poly last week and got my room (Deluxe studio) at 11am. I had requested Moorea High floor and got Tokelau High floor.

DVC villas take longer to clean between guests. So it may depend on how full the resort is. You can always check in as early as about 7:00AM and hope for the best.
