we are planning on getting to CSR about noon.
Has anyone had any problems checking in early? Do they allow it or are they sticklers about it?
Also, what about late check out? Are they willing to give an extra hour if needed?

Thanks!

You are still able to check in, even if your assigned room is not ready. Whether or not you will be able to get into a room depends on how many people checked out that day and if the rooms have been cleaned etc.
If a room is not ready you can just check your luggage and go ahead and go to a park or the pool if you wish.
Getting a late check out again depends on how many rooms they will need on the day you check out. The day before your departure date, you can call housekeeping and inquire about a late check out. Usually if they do not need the room they will extend your check out until 1:00 without charging your for the day.
If you can not get a late check out, you can have bell services check your luggage and you can go to a park or hang out at the pool.

Disney World is the only place I have ever stayed where I don't even think about a check in time. The "check in time" is when you can expect your room to be ready. You can do everything else before that, even at 7:00 AM.

I've said it many times. Disney World could really improve the entire hotel industry if this practice was instituted nationwide. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to check into an offsite place and they won't even do anything until right at check in time.
