Hi,

We are Disney veterans and usually nothing stumps us. However, we are staying off property this time because we are attending a conference at the Ritz Grande Lakes. We have an early (8am) PS at Donald's Breakfastasaurus (sp?) and the park doesn't open until 9am. Our original plan was to take a taxi from the resort to the park. HOWEVER I have read on these boards that you can only get in the parking lot of AK early by bus and that cars have to line up in a que outside the parking lot area. I don't want to get stuck in this line in a taxi!!!!

So, should we have the taxi take us to the TTC and will there be a bus from there around 7:30am? Or, could we have the taxi drop us off at the Boardwalk and then take a Boardwalk Inn bus to the AK? We have park hopper tickets, so I believe that this entitles us to use Disney transportation (even though they never check).

Any other ideas?

Thanks

I would take the taxi to a resort- then bus to AK. I would probably take the taxi to AKL as its closest to AK but any resort would be fine.

We had an 8:10 reservation at Breakfastosaurus on November 1 and we drove to the park in our rental car.

Don't get dropped off at Boardwalk! The bus makes two additional stops before it heads off to AK. Beach Club would be a better bet if you go this route.

I think ours was 8:05, we drove into the lot just before 8:00 in our rental and I don't remember waiting in any sort of line to get through the gate.

Do not under any circumstance drive up to the Animal Kingdom tollgate when it is closed and stop behind another car. (It is OK to stop first in line). You absolutely postively must be capable of driving on or backing up to an exit if the tollgate does not open in time for you.

Suggest parking at Animal Kingdom Lodge (get 3 hour pass), and take bus to Animal Kingdom.
