Sorry if this seems a bit silly of a question but my 180 day mark is getting close and I'm trying to finalize some things. I'm hoping to schedule early breakfasts for us at Crystal Palace and at the Animal Kingdom character breakfast for our trip in December. I've never gotten into a park before rope drop and wanted to give it a try. I was just wondering if someone who's done this could tell me - if you're done eating before the park officially opens, can you hang around the restaurant until opening time then head out toward the rides? Or how does it work? We did it once four years ago at Epcot at the princess breakfast in Norway but by the time we were done, Future World was already open.

Thanks!

Not sure how early they allow breakfast before the park opens. We've never finished eating before the parks were open. Although, we did eat in Norway and finished before the World Showcase was open. I would guess you're welcome to walk around the park. You shouldn't have to wait in the restaurant. You can probably walk around, but nothing will be open or operational until the park opens.

We did that a couple years ago. We had an 8:05 ressie at Crystal Palace -- the earliest they offer -- and the park opened at 9.

We finished b'fast a few minutes before 9, then wandered out to Main Street and got into a choice position for the rope drop. I got some great pictures of my in-laws on Main Street when it was DESERTED. I said, "Enjoy this. You'll never see it like this again."

DH and I always make early ressies before the park opens. At MK and AK you can stay right by the restaurant or walk up to the ropes which are stationed throughout the parks. At Epcot, I believe the first seating for the princess breakfast is 8:30. When we are done, we go right over and do Test Track and Mission Space. We were able to do these 2 rides without any wait a few weeks ago.
