early breakfast at hollywood and vine

Just curious if there is any advantage to the toy story dash if you have an 8am adr at H & V and finish before the park opens at 9? If so any details would be appreciated.

I have had breakfast reservations more than once for 8 am at Hollywood and Vine. Although we have not been done by 9 I have always just collected all the tickets and done the dash while my family finishes up. The one advantage is that you get to the front of the crowd waiting for the dash. When you exit the restaurant you will see a large crowd on your right. Well you can walk straight ahead and wait with a much smaller group (think 5-10 people). There were a few Cast members stopping traffic there but once the dash begins you are let into the crowd at the front. I must admit this was a bit scary since there was a large crowd surging behind me and I took a few steps to recognize the pace. After I collected our fastpass tickets I rejoined my family for the rest of the meal and replenished my body after the intense workout that is the Toy story dash.

good description of it... we ate there and were done in time for the dash. The food by the way was good. The characters are the baby show ones. It was funny to get my DH with Dora! The cool thing though was that they gave us to go cups for our soda. Then while we waited in the special area with the other diners ready for the dash, Tigger came over and we got to get our pic w/ him. We didnt like how the cast member let us all go a bit late, the front of the crowd already went past before they let us go. We still got a good spot. It is scary to see the sea of mad dashers like a giant wave. Same with after the Donald breakfast in AK, waiting to go to the Safari ride. I wouldnt do that with young kids... too scary! Good idea though about having just one of the adults go do the dash!
