Early BOG Reservation

Our 180 day mark is on 12/4 so I’ve been stalking MDE, I’ve been looking everyday for an 8-8:30am reservation and I can never find one. Has anyone had any luck getting a Reservation that early?

If you're hoping for a PPO ADR at BOG I'd avoid it because often times MK ends up extending hours and makes your PPO ADR a RD ADR and you miss out on the golden hour when lines aren't long.

That is what I was hoping for. I wasn’t sure if it would be better to just rope drop 7 Dwarf Mine Train or try to do it after a PPO ADR.

Although this can be true at busy times of the year, it's not always so (for instance MK is opening at 9am on Dec 20th, which is a busy week for MK). I'd stay stalk the site and the cancellation thread on Disboards and you may come up lucky. If Disney change the park hours you can cancel at no cost to yourself.

Yeah we are going the first week in June. I’m hoping it won’t be crazy busy, but who knows!

But if you notice the 21st and beyond has an 8am opening. Those opening were updated from 9am to 8am.
Disney only tends to update their hours a few weeks in advance so people that make their PPO ADR for BOG at 180 days are probably kicking themselves right now.
My opinion is that if you're trying to get a PPO it should not be with the expectation that it will stay that way.

Are you staying on site? I'm sure you already know to take early morning EMH in consideration, as this also negates a PPO ADR. In our experience early morning EMH at MK is every Friday, but of course that can change too

The only guaranteed PPO ADR is Epcot as their opening hours are always 9am on non EMH days, even over Christmas, so we have a Garden Grill for 8am.

Good luck with your search, we've been stalking the site for the last 166 days for what we want so I feel your pain

Yes Epcot is what I'd suggest to anyone that wants to pretty much ensure their PPO remains one.
MK is always going to be a surprise.

We thought about Akershus for PPO and then hope to get on FEA right after breakfast.

We go from Garden Grill to Soarin' at 8.55am before a 9am RD, then we can save our tier A fastpass for Test Track. It's a win-win for us, a walk through the empty park, a nice character breakfast and no queue on Soarin'.

I had an 8 at bog over the summer and a few weeks before mk changed hours. I had the dining plan so we switched to 10 which was really nice. We rode a few rides then had breakfast. After breakfast my fp began. My dh was really impressed.

Don't give up! We are going in February and snagged an 8 am BOG a couple of weeks ago, way past our 180 day mark.

Just FYI, I know you probably know this but for anyone reading along... it is possible - at very rare times - for Epcot to have an 8am regular opening time. Eg, 12/27-12/31 this year all have 8am openings.

But yes, outside of those rare circumstances, totally agree!

We always leave on on the evening of the 26th so I've never experienced that, but it's good to know just in case we ever stay past then (I'm a nurse and can only have either Christmas or New year off, but not both)

I always go to BOG for breakfast.... I have been trying for May the past few days and nothing is there for 8:00-9:00 am... something is up... we have always been able to get this time slot in the past with no problem especially this early out. I even tried to search for 2 people and everything is at 9:00 am or later.....

That’s what I have been seeing as well.
