Early BOG breakfast timing - when to arrive?

For a BOG ADR at 8:45 on a day when the park opens at 9, how early will we be able to enter the park? Driving in from close by in Florida that morning and trying to decide if it would be better to park at MK and take the monorail to the entrance or go directly to our hotel (Art of Animation) and try to get a bus to MK. I think the buses take you directly to the entrance which seems like it would be faster but not sure how early the buses run. I am thinking we should be at MK entrance by 8? Does that sound right?

On a day when park opens at 9am, ADRs start at 8am or 8:05am, they start letting people with ADRs into the park then. But your BOG ADR is 8:45am, they will let you into the park earlier, but I don't know if you can get into BOG early? We've only done BOG for lunch, we weren't allowed to check in until 5 minutes before our ADR time.

If you're in your car anyway, I'd be inclined to drive to MK. Driving to MK + monorail might be faster than taking a bus, depends on how long you have to wait or the monorail/bus. Buses start running sometime between 6:30am and 7am, and do take you directly to MK, so that's not a problem. However, if you haven't checked in yet, you won't have a parking pass indicating that you're staying at a Disney resort, you certainly don't want to pay $18 to park at MK when you don't have to.

The other problem is that the official MK opening is 9am, but they've been letting the public in earlier, at around 8:45am. So while you're just starting to order breakfast, park guests are rushing in and doing rides. I know BOG ADRs are difficult to get, but I personally wouldn't want to be eating breakfast during the first hour the park is open when ride lines are shortest.

I also just booked an 8:45 breakfast ressie at BOG. I plan to get to the gate at 8:00 so we can walk back. If it is like Crystal Palace, they will have a list at the MK gate with your name on it, so you will be able to walk through the gate to head to BOG. I love walking down Main Street before park opening! I am super excited about the early ADR. If I could have, I would have booked 8:00! Because BOG breakfast is quick-service, they may go ahead and get you into the queue when you arrive at check-in. There will not be 2 queues, since there will be no standy-by like there is at lunch.

We were just there for lunch a few weeks ago. I don't think there was a standby line at lunch. People without ADRs were being turned away, you needed to have an ADR to check-in.

1) They will let you into the park approx. 15-minutes prior to the ADR.
2) This is enough time to walk to the eatery, without loitering.

The parking passes are going away (may be gone already). Instead, they scan your magic band to verify if you're a resort guest for free parking at the parks

We just went to BOG breakfast yesterday. Anyone with an ADR was let into the park at 8 am. EVERYONE was let in at once. If you preordered you were sent right in otherwise you had to wait in line to order. Therefore someone with a 9am ADR could be receiving their food while someone with an 8am could still be in line.

This did not bother me because there is no way to streach a QS meal to last an hour. Another guest however was livid.

Wait, Magic Kingdom opened at 9 am that day. You wrote that "9 am" was when anyone with an ADR was let into the park; did you mean EIGHT am?

Yes everyone was let in an 8 am if their ADR was before 9 am. I must have been overtired when I posted.

There have been multiple reports that anyone with a pre RD ADR for BOG have been let in at 8. If I were you I would to the MK entrance by 7:45 and take your chances...

My DD and I had an 8:35am reservation. We arrived at the MK at 7:20 via bus from our resort. We had to give our name to a cast member before we were allowed to get in line outside of the park. At 8am, we were allowed to walk in with everyone at the same time. It was wonderful! We were not allowed to enter BOG until 8:30 even though we done the online preorder. We sat and enjoyed the few minutes we had. Enjoy your breakfast! It was so much fun.
