I have scheduled an early adr (8:00)at Donald's Breakfastosaurus (Park opens at 9:00) and was told by the lady that I made the reservation with that I would have to provide my own transportation as the Disney buses don't run that early. Does anyone know what time that the buses start running or if I should be thinking of getting a rental car? TIA. :confused3

The buses will be running in time for your AR. In fact from what I've read, you will most certainly want to take a bus. A number of people have posted that the AK parking lot doesn't open in time to allow people to make 8:00 ARs.

There is a current thread on the Transportation board about this.

DO NOT DRIVE to the AK for Donald's breakfast.
This comes up almost weekly. The parking lot does not allow cars to enter early, even if you have a dining reservation. Only Disney buses are allowed to enter. Please do not EVER listen to transportation info from anyone not wearing the purple pants of the Disney bus drivers. Only the bus drivers know the real story about WDW transportation. There are early buses provided to all the breakfasts at WDW every day. They normally start running around 6-6:30am. Just be at your resort bus stop about 45 minutes prior to your dining reservation. This will give you enough time in case you just missed a bus.

Welcome to the DIS Boards!

wdwgoofeeee is right. When it comes to transportation issues, don't ask any CMs except the ones in the purple pants. Unfortunately, the CMs at WDW Dining don't know anything about transportation questions, just what they read on their computer screens, and they've been giving this incorrect information about arriving for early ADRs for years.

We've had breakfast at Donald's 5 times, and 4 of those times have been the first seating (either 8 or 8:10 depending on the year) on a day when the park opened at 9. We've always taken the bus from our resort, catching it between 7:00 and 7:15. The buses have always been running at that time, and we've always had plenty of time to get to our breakfast.

Thank you all so much for the information. Maybe it should be mandatory for disney dining reservationists to read the dis boards every day. They could learn alot.
