Early Admission, grab WOC FP on way to RSR?

For someone staying at GCH. Plan for EA tomorrow:

Grab WOC Fast Pass (They want First Show blue)
RSR (Wide Right)

is this a bad idea?

Probably won't work. World of Color fast passes are on opposite side of park from where RSR is located. The fast passes are distributed over at GRR. And if there using the Wide Right technique they'll be going way out of their way. Best thing to do is probably ride RSR and then send a runner to grab WOC fast passes as soon as the party is off the ride.

Well if they're using the GCH entrance they can get the fast passes on the way in. The problem is. I don't think the Wide Right technique works from the GCH entrance. It's more of a technique for the main gate. What they need to decide is do they want to get to RSR faster or grab WOC fast passes on the way in? Because RSR is almost on the opposite end of the park from where GCH is.

Also GCH's entrance line can get pretty long from what I've heard since it has only two turnstiles. I've never used it at opening myself. Just what I remember hearing. But then again you need to get to main gate at a fairly decent time to properly use the Wide Right technique.

I just did this trip last week so here is what you need to do. We also stayed at GCH so this is real and up to date.

If you plan on entering DCA at the hotel entrance then you need to get there 45 minutes or an hour before park opening (hopefully during morning EMH at that park). If EMH is 8am then be there at 7ish, and so on. The people add up fast. They only have 3 turnstiles at that entrance vs about 15 at the main entrance.

Do NOT pull a WOC FP (which isn't connected to the regular FP system). You want to exit the hotel entrance and head left...you will pass Soarin" on the way. You will then make it to the main drag and hang a right (you will see other EMH guests entering from the main gates). They will have a rope up where you will wait a few minutes and be lead down to Carlsand by 'Mater and Lighting McQueen. Do Radiator Springs, then TSMM and then walk back over towards the hotel entrance near Grizzly. That is where you can pull a BLUE FP for WOC (best).

GO TO RSR first!

To clarify, you are talking about EMH, right? I'm pretty sure they don't distribute WOC FP during EMH (the only thing I've been able to find was starting at 30 minutes before opening, which would be in the middle of your extra time) and either way, it's not worth it. Grab the WOC FP after EMH, you'll have a couple of hours at the very least, depending in crowd levels. Also, you will get to RSR much faster using the main gate (although you will still want to arrive 20-30 minutes before EMH), and stick with the wide right, but be sure to stay on the blacktop once you get into carsland, they don't let you cut down the "sidewalk" and rejoining the crowd can be difficult

We were 3rd in line at the GCH entrance and at the front of the rope drop down BVS towards Carsland last week. Of course we were there an hour before RD but I was entertained by someone who knew all the secrets of FP. It was an "interesting" conversation, to say the least.
