Do you know if we could get seated earlier by arriving early at 'Ohana? We have a 7:40 but now wish to go to MVMCP that night too. There are no earlier openings to book.

Do you think if we arrive about 6:30 we have a chance to be seated earlier or just a long wait? Or should we just skip the MVMCP? That is the only way we can see the parades & fireworks the week we go as 12/12 - 12/10 Magic closes early.

I appreciate any imput!

I would just keep checking every day :surfweb: to see if anything earlier opens up.
I doubt you can get seated that much earlier just by walking up unless they get someone cancelling at the last minute.Last year we had 5 ADRs & we got to 4 of them 15 to 20 minutes before our time.At 2 we got in early, the others we waited until the time of our ADRs (the 5th time was for lunch at the Rose & Crown openning)
Good luck:thumbsup2

'Ohana is notorious for seating people late, not early. You're planning to pay a lot of money for the party, I'd suggest you eat a QS meal in the park instead of a TS meal that night. Why waste valuable party time sitting down to eat? If you really want a TS meal, maybe make an early dinner ADR in the park since you can get in as early as 4:00 with your park ticket. That's a lot of money to spend sitting in a restaurant.

We've tried that, but did not have much luck. Sometimes, we have been seated at our reservation time and 15 minutes early other times. So, I doubt you'll have much luck. I agree with previous 2 posts - keep calling and try to get earlier times - and, is it worth missing MVMCP to eat there? For the MNSSHP, we are eating at the castle at 4:30, so we can be done and enjoy the rest of the party. That is early to eat supper, but just don't want to miss it.

I'd either keep trying for something earlier, or cancel it and dine elsewhere.
Even if they sat you at 7:40 - probably the earliest you'd make it would be 9:00 to the party, maybe even 9:30.
6:30 I think is still too late... maybe 8:00 get to party if seated right then?

Any chance to do party on a different night maybe? Just so much to spend on the party to get there really late.

oh, and seems to depend on the restaurant. We arrived at 1900 Park fare for dinner 45 minutes early, and they sat us 5 minutes later. But I know some places, like Sci Fi always is like this.... let's say have an 8:20 ADR and check in at 8:00 - they say sorry, can't check in yet, come back 10 minutes prior. has happened a couple times there, and can't think where else, but another restaurant did the same thing.

OP - Does Ohana's do lunch? if not, then I wouldn't try to do both on the same night.

PP - CRT may be the one you are thinking about. I couldn't check in 17 minutes early, was told to come back in 2 minutes, that I could only check in 15 minutes early. :confused3

Ohana does only breakfast and dinner.

We were not allowed to check in early at Crystal Palace or Le Cellier either.

To OP: We have never been seated early at Ohana despite asking several times. In fact, we have always been seated well after our ADR times, despite checking in early every time.:rotfl: Good luck though!

Thanks y'all.

I've too noticed they usually seat late. Guess I'll just keep checking for a earlier time. I've got 3 days to work w/ but early meals for LeCellier, Coral Reef or 'Ohana just aren't out there....& we really want to eat at those places.
The 7:40 was our earliest time we had for supper of those so I thought it might be workable.

Appreciate the help!

I am in the opposite boat. Friday, Dec 17th is our last night @ WDW, we want to spend as much time as possible at MK before it shuts down for the party but it is the ONLY night I could score an ADR for 'Ohana (5:20pm). I check multiple times a day for something after 7, but no luck yet!

Hopefully we'll both get lucky and get what we want. :)

Ended up getting a 6:40 Ohana! Still looking for an earlier time but this is workable for us. Will arrive alittle early & hope to get seated early or on time. Then with a hop on the monorail we'll be there real quick.

As long as we get to MK for the 8:15 parade I'm happy & DH gets to eat at Ohana! And if we run later well we'll just see the second parade.

Wow! Pixie dust must be coming my way...I got a 6:10 a few moments ago. That is looking good for our MVMCP time!

I cancelled a 6:40 for 2 Dec 9th a few moments ago if you need it!

Wow, at this rate, if you keep trying you will have a 5 pm reservation by the end of the month! ;)

I can't say for Ohana, but we were able to be seated early for LeCellier and 50s PTC. At PTC, our ADR was for 12:25. We showed up at noon and asked if it would be possible to be seated early. They seated us right away. At LeCellier, we had a 4:45 ADR and showed up at 4:00. The CM at the check in podium told me she didn't think we could get seated early since most everyone was showing up for their ADRs, but that we could check in and at least wait the 45 minutes in air conditioning. By the time we walked down the path to the restaurant, parked the stroller, and walked in the door, a CM was standing there waiting to seat us.

I'd think Ohana may be a bit more difficult. We had a 5:00 ADR and there was a huge line at 4:45 to check in. Keep trying for an earlier ADR.
