We will be there the first week of November so BB is the only water park open. DS is 12, DD is 10, and DD is 5. I have never been in DQ so I didn't know what to expect. We would get the water park option on the tickets.
Hopefully the weather will still be good in Nov. I 'm thinking it will but then we went to BB one Jan. when it was about 68. Brrr! It was a little cold but we still had fun.

Blizzard Beach
My DD is now 13, almost 14, and we have been doing the WP since she was about 4. She has always loved them. One of her favorite places in a WP is The Ski Patrol Training Camp at BB. She still loves it though she's really getting too old to go there. Luckily, for her, she's small for her age.

Ski Patrol Training Camp is the place for pre-teenagers. Here they can balance on the floating icebergs, ride the T-bar drop and enjoy their own water slides.
Tike's Peak is a kid-sized version of Blizzard Beach. Here children 4 feet tall and under (parents are allowed) can play in their own pools, ride their own slides, play in the pop jets and fountains, and much more. Just remember that children under 10 are not allowed admission into the BB unless accompanied by an adult.
For the younger set Tike's Peak is fun too. I think the kid's areas at BB are better than the one at TL. DD could play at the Training Camp all day.
She loves going across the icebergs and then playing with other kids on them. The zip line looks great-too bad I'm too tall for it! And parents, as well as kids, are allowed on the slides in that area. BB has the longest family raft ride, in the world, Teamboat Springs, that is really fun. If you go make sure you do it!

Zipline fun!

Icebergs!
Here's a pix of her last year when an afternoon storm came rolling in and she and the lifeguards, and a couple more kids, played "rainy day" games. They made her an honorary jr. lifeguard! I'm sure she'll remember playing with the lifeguards (for over an hour until the park closed) as one of that trip's highlights.

What's a little water?

I think this was the most rain we ever saw. And we go during hurricane season!

An unofficial Jr. Lifeguard!
I wasn't too sure what to expect at DQ either, the first time we went. But think of all the arcade games you can imagine, and you can play them for free! That's basically what you'll find at DQ. I enjoy DQ when it's not too busy, but when it's crowded, it's not as fun (obviously) We go during off season most of the time so it's really only crowded when it rains! Then, look out!
Besides the arcade games there are games a bunch of Disney games and things to do. There are 5 floors, with 2 food areas (the participate in the
DDP).
What we will do when we go to DQ (using a Waterparks and more option) is we will get there when it opens at 11:30. They close at 11:30 F,S,S and 10 M-Th. We will play for a few hours and then take a break for lunch at one of the DTD Counter Service locations. Then we will, usually return for more play at DQ. Sometimes we will go back to the resort for pool time and then back to DQ to finish the evening.
We head to Cyberspace Mountain which is great! You design your own coaster ride and then ride it (2 people max each ride) Really fun. Can get busy so go there when they open and close to closing. We also enjoy the Pirate game.
DQ is enjoyable. Even my DM73 likes it. She enjoys riding the motorcycle rides, for one thing. However, the noise level does get to her after awhile but you can take a break in the Wonderland Cafe.
Last year it was just DD and myself at DQ (first time my DM didn't go to WDW with us) and she played one game for at least an hour, of and one It's the Speed of Light game and she had so much fun playing it.
Here's some photos...
Since you are going in Nov. BB will close early, 5:00. With the WP and more option you could go to BB during the day and DQ at night. (It would take 2 options)
