I just had one yesterday. It was good, but not as good as I expected, I think I played it up too much in my head! It had a TON of mayo on it and I think that was the main issue for me. I love mayo, but this was A LOT!

My DH and I went to Earl of Sandwich today for lunch and we shared the Holiday Sandwich! The line was wrapped around the the register, but it was so worth the wait. We were stuffed!!

Does anyone know if Earl of Sandwich is offering thier Holdiay sandwich yet? Had it at the end of Oct. in 08, and it was soooo good! Turkey, cranberries, dressing...the works! Will be there again in a week and was hoping I could get one.

Am I the only one that didn't like that sandwich, I love it when I make it but last year got it before I was going to the airport and it was so salty it was horrible?

I also didn't care for it but I think it depends on what employee makes your sandwich. My sandwich was mostly stuffing with some turkey on a roll. There was a small amount of cranberry sauce on a tiny part of one half of the sandwich and a very small amount of gravy so the sandwich was dry. It was very crowded when I got my sandwich and they were working hard to keep up. I've seen pictures here of the sandwich that looks much better than mine so maybe we just got a bad one.

There was no mayo on our Holiday sandwiches. Don't know how that poster got mayo.

If you think its going to be too dry (ours was not) ask for extra cranberrys or extra gravy.

It's suppose to come with a seasoned mayo. I asked for mine without mayo and with extra gravy. I didn't get mayo and got very little gravy. I assumed the person making the sandwich was in a rush and might have read the order as no mayo or gravy. The full montagu was very good though.

After reading you all profess your love for this sandwich, I am definitely going to need to get one! AND the Wisconsin Cheese soup.

How awesome that they have coupons for free holiday sandwiches from 11/3 to 11/7?!!! Think they'd notice if I inserted a 2 after the /? (just kidding!)
