Earl of Sandwich - Holiday sandwich

If you have an AAA card, you can get a reduced rate at Earl.

Yesterday we had the holiday sandwich which was 5.99 (original price) and then .90 off for AAA discount. With tax it came up to 5.43. It was, as always, delish!

Bu the way Earl did not give an AP disocunt.

Also a note if you are on the Dining Plan and going to Earl--you get a sandwich or a wrap or a salad; bottled (nonalcoholic) drink or drink machine(with refills); and you get to choose a side of chips or small salad(macaroni or potato) or small parfait or a packaged dessert(cookie, cupcake, brownie,etc.). It was a nice change from just choosing dessert! Ask one of the CMs standing along the line and they will explain. ENJOY:goodvibes

DH wants to know if the sandwich of his dreams comes with gravy or without. He'll happily take it either way, mind you.

Either way! :thumbsup2 It comes with gravy, but I had them leave it off of mine.

:confused3 I was looking forward to cranberry sauce/jell-type, I'll just have to order it without the cranberries! I can't wait, less than 2 weeks.

Try it with the cranberries, I'm not a big fan of them either, but it was DELICIOUS. It is somewhat jelly/sauce like. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I love this sandwich sooo much, I have been talking about it all year, FI thinks I'm a little nutso, but glad others feel the same way! :lovestruc

So my plan when I go next week is to buy a few extra sandwiches on our last day and bring them home with me (~3 hour drive) and put them in the fridge/freezer, and have them all week! I'm actually a little more excited about this sandwich than the entirety of the F&W festival (which is the reason we are making the trip).

Anyone know if they will ever carry the Holiday sandwich at the rest stop locations on the FL Turnpike? I'll keep my eye out for it since there is one not too many exits from my normal commute!

I had it on Tuesday 10/5 and it was fabulous! :goodvibes

And another note, if you are a DVC member, you can show your card here and get a discount!

I believe it will be around till January..but not sure till what day and one of my friends who is an Orlando resident told me if you ask for it they'll make it for you year round even though it's not on the menu..but don't quote me on that.

After reading this thread, and being a huge Earl of Sandwich fan, I couldn't wait to try the holiday sandwich.
So I had it today and I must say it was not very good. It was smaller than the sandwiches I remember at the earl (however I haven't been there in three years), and this sandwich was very salty. It was almost too salty to eat.
However the last few bites of the sandwich were better. It seems like it was the stuffing that was too salty.
Maybe it was just my luck though?

I recently discovered the Earl of Sandwich, and all I can say is it's AMAZING!!!! :worship:In all my years of Disney how had I not discovered this gem sooner? The tuna melt is my absolute favorite, but would be more than eager to try a holiday special.

Can someone please take and post a photo of this delicious morsel? Thanks in advance.

Here's my pic of it:

I had an amazing grill cheese sandwich at EOS. It had brie, blue chees and I think another cheese. OMG it was incredible. But I haven't seen it again. I hope they bring it back.

As a public service announcement: If you have a Which Wich sandwich shop near you, they serve a Thank You Turkey sandwich year-round. It has cranberries and stuffing -- no gravy.

It's no EOS Holiday Sandwich, but it's a nice substitute for the months when the Holiday Sandwich isn't available.

YAY! I have been wanting to try this. We will be there at the end of the month and I'm getting one on our way home. :)

I tried this sandwich for the first time last year, I think, and I've been in love ever since! I can't wait to get one when I'm there next week AND in December when I go with my BFF!! Yum!!

This sandwich sounds (and looks) delicious!!!! Anyone know how long they will be available for???

Is it served warm/cold? And, is EOS known for any special sides? Planning our mid Nov trip to WDW......want to make sure we take advantage of all the holiday delights and any other special treats!
