I am curious if anyone has an recommendation for children's ear plugs/ear phones? My daughter is really skittish about loud noises (even public restrooms toilets freak her out a bit) but I don't want her to miss out on the magic of the parades and fireworks because of the noise levels so I was thinking about some kind of ear plugs. Any ideas or recommendations to share??

We (kids and I) used earplugs from Walgreens recently for a concert. I found them to be very effective at noise reduction. You can still hear, it just reduces the decible level to something more managable. We still were able to enjoy the concert. However--one child didn't like them in her ears and took them out.

The only thing difficult to hear would be someone whispering or speaking low. You would have to speak up a little more for her to hear you with the plugs still in.

Depending on how old your daughter is, we use either the kids silicon earplugs (Mack's at Target) that come in bright colors or when DD was really little we bought Disney character earmuffs.

When I was 3 my parents gave me hearing protectors. I didn't like things in my ear so they worked great. They got some geared to kids. I do not kn ow where they got them.
