Ear Hats, Headbands, or Nothing?

My bf wants us to get hats but I have a big head and I don't want to be disappointed when they don't fit. I was thinking ear headbands. He's kind of feeling like if it's not a hat it's not worth it. I'm sure we'll find a good compromise. But I was wondering what other people thought? Do you prefer ears? The classic Mickey hat? Or nothing at all?

I don't like the hats or headbands because if you get sick of wearing it you have to carry it. I do character hair bows and clips. If I need to take it off it will fit in my purse.

Go with whatever suits your fancy when you get there. If you choose a headband you can play off of the hat your BF gets. The headbands come in a lot of colors.

FTR, my family doesn't do Disney hats or ears except around Christmas and we have Mickey Santa hats.

My daughter and I both like our Mickey / Minnie ear headbands....She always wears them and I occasionally do. My husband usually wears nothing or just a generic hat from home.

I wear a ball cap 90% of the time anyways so I usually don some sort of Disney hat. I love the old Goofy trucker type hat with the teeth and goofy ears. (do they still sell those)

My wife will wear ears for about 10 minutes. LOL

DD and I will wear ear headbands, DH wouldn't be caught dead in one. He wears a ball hat or nothing on his head.

We do headbands as they are easy to take on and off and I love all the choices. Dh wears and ear hat one day per trip, the rest of the time wears a baseball.

Nothing. I love how they look, but I find hats don't stay in place and headbands make my brain feel like it's going to explode. And when I take them off...they destroy my hair...literally. The velcro (or whatever it is) on those headbands gets stuck and rips my hair out.

On this past trip to WDW I bought a minnie ears headband. I alternated it wil a minnie ball cap I bought at DL on my last trip. DD1 had a headband and DD 2 a hat (Stitch). DH did not get one.

I got a cheap Minnie ears headband from Walmart of all places for like $5 last year. Actually found it way more comfy to wear then my pair bought in the parks.

If I wear one, I wear the headbands. I can't stand the chin straps of regular hats.
Plus, I like a lot of the Headband designs that aren't available or aren't as cute in the regular hat shape.

I get the headbands. The hats are too hot to wear in the parks, plus the headbands fit easily in my bag if I need to store them.

Both DH and I wear non-Disney baseball caps that do not match. If one of us sees a cap they like it gets bought and worn.

I like headbands if I'm not wearing my glasses or sunglasses. I've also worn a cap when I'm trying to keep my face from burning. But mostly I don't wear anything. DH doesn't wear anything. The girls like headbands.

They have plain ear headbands (no bow) and baseball caps with ears, so he could go that route and you could get a headband.

DH occasionally wears a generic hat. He doesn't wear the ears. For me (DW), I find that the ears are uncomfortable after wearing them for a few hours. Then I'm stuck with carrying them in my backpack. I don't wear hats because I get "hat" hair. Not a pretty sight! I enjoy seeing other guests wear Disney-themed hats and ears, though.

I say wear what you are comfortable with, or don't wear anything on your head if it's uncomfortable.

Plenty of headbands and caps yesterday and today at the Parks. DW wears nothing on her head and I wear an IRONMAN hat but we ALWAYS WEAR matching shirts. Yesterday was DW's birthday and we wore our OKW Resort Mickey/Minnie On The Beach shirts that we bought at OKW 22 years ago this week when we purchased OKW DVC. Lots of "I like your shirts" from cast members and people.
