Ear Hat Questions!

First time posting so I hope I'm asking in the right place! I'm thinking about getting myself a classic mickey (maybe minnie) ear hat embroidered with my name on the back instead of the usual Minnie headband ears I usually buy. Those of you that wear them, do you find them comfortable? In particular are they more comfortable than the headbands which dig in behind the ears? How do you attach the hat without using the chin strap?

My boyfriend isn't a fan of the traditional ear hats (they are a bit small on his head) if he were to buy one of the goofy/pluto/donald baseball style hats where the nose is the bill of the hat, will they still be able to put his name on the back?

I like the ear hats better than the ear bands. To keep it on, I put my hair in a ponytail and then I also wrap the chin strap around my pony tail….like how you would a ponytail holder. It keeps it on plus it is still pretty easy to take it off/on when you want too. I always take my ears off on rides and in shows to make sure people behind me can see okay.

As to your second question, I have no idea.

I never wear headbands but bought a pair of Minnie ear headbands on Amazon a couple years ago and they are shockingly super comfortable

you can use bobby pins to attach it, if you place 2 bobby pins crossed they should hold your ear hat in place. I've done it before and had no problems

I've worn both and was never bothered by either. I'm actually thinking about buying both on an upcoming trip for different photo ops ;-).

The ear hats are so much more comfortable to me! The headbands dig into my head so bad but they are easier to slip on and off and they're adorable so I still wear them, lol. When I'm wearing a ear hat I do the same thing as Jhondy and wrap the elastic strap around my pony tail or braid. I used to bobby pin them as well when my son wasn't into the thrill rides like he is now (I always take off my ears for those, not going to chance losing them!). I also like that they cover up where I part my hair because scalp sunburn is no fun.

But the ear hats are so hot! We tried wearing them Memorial weekend last year and they were all in the backpack by mid afternoon.

I find the ear hats cute for a photo op but a pain to wear all day. Not literally painful, just a pest. Don't like the feeling of the hat.

I don't like the Disney ear headbands either as they cause me a stinking headache they're so tight behind the ears! I got some cute ears from tutu factory in the UK I'm sure there's plenty US sellers too.

I can wear it fine and it stays on even if you put the chin strap in the back. I do not like however taking it off for rides as I like to travel light and absolutely hate carrying stuff. If you have a bag of any kind then I wouldn't worry about it.

Pretty sure the answer to your 2nd question is yes, they can put a name on the Goofy/Donald ball cap type hats

Thank you for all your replies you've all been so helpful! I think I will go for the earhat but I might get a pair of ears too (the floral daisy ones on tutu factory are so cute, I'm UK based so not a problem for me!). Great news about the Donald hat, now I just need to convince him to get one!
