Something we saw on our trip last week was an eagle dismantaling a duck at OKW. How rare of occurance is this at the World?

Pretty impressive none the less!

there are definitely more eagles - they also go fishing....

also more hawks - they are finally taking some of the wild birds out of the pictures....

now if they would just realized that in the MK or Epcot during lunch hour is where they could make a killing....

of course I don't know how the children would feel about watching that.

they are beautiful!!!

I saw one once in trees along the canal on the boat to Downtown Disney.

Eagles are even coming back here in Ohio. I wonder how Canada Geese taste to them?

Sue, I'm over here in Wooster...geese ok....but please don't eat the ducks!!!

We saw a pair of eagles in our Chicago suburb a few weeks ago. Definitely a comeback. Probably more pleasing to us, however, than to the ducks...

Wow, were these Bald Eagles? DH and I are birders-always bring our binocculars to OKW, but haven't seen any kind of Eagles there-would especially love to see the Bald Eagle. Best chance would be there-Bald Eagles are the only Eagle reported in Florida. I've heard of them seen at Epcot and AK, but I've never seen them myself. I'll keep looking up, though!

i saw a pair off the balcony of building 55 - they were catching fish in that stream/lagoon/small river - after the DD boat had gone by and stired up the water.

I got video of the one I saw. If can find a site to post it, I will provide a link to it.

Which Eagle?

McNabb?

Owens?

Now if they can just do the same to a Patriot...

(sorry.... some warped Philly humor from my #1fan DH!)

When the Eagles win, they'll all be going to WDW!

Thought you meant the Rock group the "Eagles".

"May god bless this wonderful day for democracy."

Just remember, Patriots have muskets!

Go Pats!

I know that they stopped releasing doves at some of the shows because some of them weren't returning. They discovered they were being scarfed up by local birds of prey! I did notice they still let them out at the Flights of Wonder in the AK last trip. I think it was the B&B show that I heard mentioned specifically.

We have an annual Audubon eagle trip in Sept up here. I went on it some years ago and saw 28 bald eagles - 2 of them fledglings and another 4 of them yearlings. What an awesome sight. One of them was feeding a fledgling an eel or a snake.

And we get them out on Casco Bay here in Portland, along with Osprey.

I thought that Ohio was famous for Buzzards!

Obviously wasn't one of the "Mighty Ducks". They and other hockey teams aren't doing much this year!

Yes, they are official heralds of spring!! The buzzards return to hinkley - and it's a big deal - around st. patricks day, i think.

Forget cute little robins and groundhogs and even Herons - we go for the ugly old buzzard....
