I'm not sure if this is the right spot to ask this, but it seems the most likely.

My daughter will be earning her Eagle Scout rank in Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts) in the next few months (it's down to mostly paperwork and her board of review). It's customary to write request congratulatory letters from people like politicians, celebrities, etc, but fewer public figures are still responding. (My son got a letter from Chuck Norris, but I think he was one of the last).

My daughter, honestly, couldn't care less about most of the people who would be on a "traditional" list (and, honestly, there is some likelihood that some of them wouldn't respond, anyway, because they don't agree with Scouts BSA allowing girls in the program). So I'm struggling to decide who to ask

Anyway. I thought it would be fun to have a letter from Russell (from Up). I don't think this is a thing I could just ask Disney for, but I *will* be at Disney World in March (technically, we both will, but she'll be with her band and friends the whole time, not with me). I'm just not sure the best way to do it.

How would you do it? Write a letter "from" Russell (maybe I could find/make Wilderness Explorer Letterhead) and have him sign it? Make a Congratulations sign and have him sign it and take a picture with it? Any other ideas?

AI is your friend for a change;
My input;
write me a congratulatory letter from Russel from the movie Up to a girl in Boy Scouts Eagle Scout upon receiving her eagle award
And what I got;
Dear [Recipient's Name],

Hi! My name is Russell, and I’m a Wilderness Explorer in Tribe 54, Sweat Lodge 12! I heard you just earned your Eagle Scout Award, and WOW—that’s like the ultimate badge! You must have done so many amazing things to help people, learn new skills, and show leadership. That’s what being a real explorer is all about!

When I was working on my badges, some of them were really hard—like assisting the elderly (Mr. Fredricksen wasn’t easy at first!)—but you stuck with it and finished everything. That takes courage and determination. You’re like a superhero of scouting!

Remember, the wilderness must be explored! Caw! Caw! Roar! And now, with your Eagle Scout Award, you’re ready to lead the way for others. Keep helping people, keep learning, and keep being awesome.

Congratulations again! You’ve earned something truly special, and I’m so proud of you—even if we’ve never met. If I had a badge for “Most Inspiring Scout,” I’d give it to you right now!

Adventure is out there!

Your friend,
Russell

This was a little better - added input from Kevin and Dug;

Kevin would be so proud of you too! She’s always running around looking for chocolate, but even she would stop to give you a big squawk for this achievement. And Dug? He’d probably say, “I have just met you, and I love you!” because that’s how excited he’d be about your Eagle Scout Award.

I personally don't really like using AI but it's good for things like this where it's not real serious. It's a first draft, not a final draft. I would definitely spice it up with a custom Scout letterhead. Never hurts to write to Disney to ask them for a letter - could be they'll help out and actually respond.

Both of my daughters are Eagles! Eagle classes of 2023 and 2024. I have one son needing to submit his final report, and another who needs to submit his proposal. We did not do letters. I know others who have, but honestly the scouts response was hit or miss.

My younger daughter (age 19) and I visited with Russell last week and he got excited when she shared that she too is a scout, an Eagle Scout.
