That would make this the smallest mistake Disney has made in a long time. While they may well decide to go ahead with EP, I don't think development costs on the order of $100,000 will play any role whatsoever in the decision to go ahead with a project that costs on the order of $100,000,000.

Honestly, I don't think there's much of a possibility.

AKL could have been designed with a DVC component, just as BWI/BWV was. But it wasn't.

There really isn't a good way to add a DVC structure to provide a savannah view or to have reasonable access from the lobby.

I suppose they could put a DVC building in the parking lot in front of the entrance. Or they could put a DVC building way at the end of one of the existing wings, beyond the savannah view. Or they could build a DVC resort a quarter mile away, with its own savannah and a shuttle to the main AKL. But none of those alternatives are particularly good.
