eager to book DME

Family is going to OKW in February and have just booked our flights. Is it to early to book DME and request our tags?

The earlier you call, the more likely you will have to call AGAIN with flight changes (they do seem to happen a lot these days!)...I would call about 6 weeks before your arrival. I made ME reservations online several months before my upcoming trip and when I called to confirm, they told me that they couldn't "see" any reservations for people until about 40 days before their trip. So i re-submitted everything via email to DVC MEMBER SERVICES (we are DVC members), tags came about three weeks before our trip, and hopefully all will go smoothly next week!

Personally, I'd reserve DME ASAP -- why not? Sure, I'd call again to make sure they have your info and it's correct, but why wait?

No matter when you make the DME reservation, you should receive your DME packet about 3 weeks before your departure. They don't send those puppies out when the reservation is made.

I get excited to have all my ducks in a row too! I made my DME ressies for my Oct trip when I booked my room. The flight did change and I called Disney and the info was still wrong when I got my packet in the mail, so I called again. It was no biggie. If you want to book it now, I say book it now.
