Has anyone done an E-Upgrade on a US Airways reservation? I have four coach class tickets that I purchased online at usairways.com. I am hoping to use my Dividend Miles to upgrade them to First Class if possible. I'm confused on the whole upgrade process though. First, how do I know if my tickets are upgradeable. Second, is it 500 miles per ticket to upgrade? Thanks.

Check this site:

http://www.usairways.com/dividendmiles/programinfo/eupgrades.htm

You can only upgrade from unrestricted tickets (refundable tickets), unless you are a preferred member. If you are not a preferred member, you can only use them to upgrade tickets in fare class Y, B, U and N.

See this site to find out which class you bought:

http://www.usairways.com/dividendmiles/help/determine_fare_classes.htm

If you paid less than $500 per ticket, chances are they are not eligible. Refundable tickets are very expensive.

It looks like it is 500 dividend miles for each 500 miles of travel, per ticket, per flight. You are from NJ, so I would assume it is between 500 and 1,000 miles, so it would cost you 1,000 miles each way per ticket.

What type of e upgrades do you have? Preferred USAirways flyers have unlimited upgrades so it would be hard to upgrade if you aren't a preferred member.

I suggest visiting www.flyertalk.com and asking on the USAirways forum.
