Do I have to print the ticket or can they just scan the barcode from my phone?

I am not sure whether you're talking about the regular Park tickets or the MHP ticket, but I showed them my MHP ticket email and they were able to scan each baroda (for 6 people) from my phone. Very convenient!

Just my regular park hopper ticket I bought online.

They just need the bar code number to get you your regular tickets. You have to hit one of the ticket booths to exchange the voucher to get your regular park hopper tickets to enter the parks with.
