E-ticket package/Premier Pass

We check in on the 29th and would like to buy the Premier Pass for the 29th when available to us tomorrow (2 days prior to park day).

The problem is that our e-ticket package is not available to us now. Email said 3 days but when we called, cast members said it will come tomorrow but that it might be too late to buy PP. Has anyone had success buying PP on same day as e-ticket arrival?

I know Disney World premier passes have been selling out over the holidays but I havent seen anything on Disneyland.

If you scroll down, it shows the last 2 months at each park and the sell-out date and time. Looks like it sold out early the day-of over Thanksgiving on 2 days, and again over actual Christmas for 2 days (but not until later the day-of). No other days appear to have sold out.
