Verizon will not be getting a iPhone 3GS. APple only produces the iPhone in a GSM format and Verizon is a CDMA carrier. For the iPhone to be available on Verizon, they would literally have to manufacture a new phone and Apple is making way too much money selling one version to retool and make a CDMA version when they could just as well wait until Verizon shifts their 4G network over to a GSM capable network.

So, you can wait for an iPhone, but it will be at least a year before it happens and it will be a the 4G iPhone, not one of the current models.

Yes, there are slight variations, but they all run on a GSM type network. The only major US Carriers who use GSM are T-Mobile and AT&T.

I just downloaded the podcast directly on my iphone! I'll be listening in double speed on my way to work - I have a 45 min. ride and the show is 1:38:50.

I wonder if Apple is behind the delay?

This makes me sad as it was to be the highlight of my week!!
