e-ride nights/extra magic hours

Can anyone tell me what the difference between E-ride nights and Extra Magic Hours is?

I think E-ride nights were when you paid extra $ to stay in the park late. EMH is included in price of admission. Also, EMH can be either morning or night.

E-Nights had a limit on the number of people admitted. This pretty much guaranteed short lines. We've done a dozen or more e-nights through the years and enjoyed them greatly. There were only 7-9 attractions open but those were the ones we wanted to go on.

Extra magic hours are also extended hours for guests staying on Disney Property. We found them to be extremely crowded and not worth the visit. There are many more attractions opened (it may be the entire park) but the waits were as long as the middle of the day.

We experienced E-Nights in May, June, July and August.
We experienced EMH only in late July.

I'd gladly pay for them to bring back E-Nights.
