Thanks to Lance Hart at Screamscape.com (the most delightful news and rumors site) I saw the following information. First, he hears that E-Ride nights may be back for the summer, but the more interesting news, is about "Park After Dark" events.

According to Lance, WDW is considering a new program that would possibly replace (or co-exist) with EMH, but at night. Working in the opposite manner, one park in the evenings would stay open up to three hours later for resort guests. It sounds like Disney is hearing that guests want extra hours and reduced crowds. Personally I love this idea, but I imagine that some families may not, as most children couldn't make it without falling asleep.

I would like to see this be a ticketed event, much like E-Ride nights to limit crowds, but any extension of park hours sounds wonderful to me. Perhaps this solves the mystery of the disappearance of E-Ride nights. Let's keep our fingers crossed.:D

OH! I wish and pray this is true and it Happens NOW NOW NOW for my May trip. That would be GREAT

I'm going in May and have my fingers crossed too!!

There is nothing better than seeing MK lit up at night and enjoying special extra time in the park!!!

I agree that this would be fantastic. While I enjoy EMH, I LOVE e nights. I really enjoy the parks at night, I just find them so much more magical.

Wow, that would be really great if that rumor was true. It's always nice to have an E-night at MK. However, I have always wanted to do the same at the other parks. I sure hope that either E-nights are back during July or this new idea. Either way, I'm going to have a blast:D

Already posted on another thread, but posting again for those who did not see it:

I HAVE SOME PROMISING NEWS REGARDING E-RIDE NIGHTS!

I just came home from work and there was a message on my answering machine from Katie in the Executive Office at WDW. She was responding to the e-mail I had sent in regard to e-ride nights. She basically started out by saying that e-ride nights are based on attendence and that they are done to give resort guests something extra to do at night when the crowds are up. She also said that although it is not set in stone, there will probably not be any e-ride nights in May. (Bad for me since I will be there in May). She advised that e-ride nights are not gone forever and that there will probably be at least 2-3 a week in the summer months. She said to keep checking the website for updates and even though there are none set for May yet, they may add some once it gets closer if they see that the resort reservations have shot up.

WOO HOO!
