I want to buy a e reader type thing for a gift. It must have changable font (so she can make it large print), and should be able to play games. I also need it to be simple to use (she just learned to use a mp3 palyer:rotfl:) oh low price would be good too! What do you reccomend?

My kids have the Nook Color. My DS4 is a pro with it, so I think it's pretty easy to use! Target has them on sale until tomorrow for $149 (normally $169). DD8 reads books on it and both kids play games (angry birds, etc).

I love my Nook Simple Touch, but it's an e-reader only, no games or apps.

We also have online accounts with our local library and check out ebooks for free!

If you want games then the ereader tablets would probably work best (Kindle Fire, Nook Color, etc).

The e-ink Kindles do have some games available but other then scrabble I really haven't been too impressed with them. I just stick with the Fire for games and use my e-ink kindle for reading.

I purchased a Pandigital reader during Christmas for about 80 bucks. It is in color. I have Barnes and Noble on it. It also has Android on it where I can download aps and games. You have to purchase a seperate SD card. It was half the price of Kindle and is under a year warranty. I had my first one replaced under the warranty and am very happy with this one.

I never thought I would love anything more than my Nook until I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas. The main reason I initially purchased the Nook was the ability to borrow ebooks from the library. You used to not be able to do that with the Kindle, but I can now do it with my Kindle Fire. When I got the Kindle Fire, I uploaded my itunes Library to my Amazon cloud drive. Now I have access to all of my music via the Fire. I was also able to convert and upload my Nook book purchases and load them onto the Kindle Fire.

I have to say, I love my Kindle Fire!
