E-Night - also use up one day on a hopper?

We will be at Disney for five days, but will only have a 4-day hopper (5th day we hang out at the hotel). We are planning on going to E-night on the day when we otherwise will not visit the parks. If we go to E-night - not entering the park until E-night starts - will that alone use up one of our hopper days if we didn't go to any park during "regular" hours?

Yes it will. E-ride tickets do not allow you admission to the park. You will have to use a day on the pass to get in.
