E book (digital) versus paper book, which do you prefer?

I *love* my Kindle. And, since I've wrapped it in one of these: www.oberondesign.com/store/kindle.php I enjoy the feel much more than a paperback. Since purchasing the kindle, the only books I have purchased have been e-books. That being said, I suspect it will be a while before devices like the Kindle have a substantial impact on the b&m bookstores. But, I do view this format as a paradigm-shifting technology.

This is exactly my experience! I debated purchasing a Kindle for quite a while and after I got a few Amazon gift certificates, I made the jump. I've been reading nonstop since it arrived and don't see myself going back to paper books anytime soon. (Also love my Oberon case!)

I love books. I always dreamed of the big library and I filled my home with bookshelves jammed with books.

Along came Kindle and I am now completely changed.

I will never buy another book unless there is no other option. I love the Kindle for all of the reasons previously stated.

And speaking as a parent of a child with Scoliosis (and this is a slight diversion from the topic), I cannot wait until the day when schools abandon the heavy, bulky, overpriced textbooks and go entirely electronic. My DD shouldn't have to be in constant pain just because she has to lug tons of books around. :headache:

Thank you all who posted their opinion.:goodvibes
