we have two dysons (i knew i wouldn't be able to handle it if ours ever broke, so bought another, just in case
)
our older is about 6 years (which never broke, btw), the younger about 4. after having almost every brand vacuum, which would always lose suction by a year, and many broken within 2 years (our last non-dyson was a kenmore which lasted 13 months, 1 month longer than the warranty
) we decided that it would be cheaper not to replace a $2-300 vacuum every 2 years.
neither has needed any repairs, and suction on them is the same as day one .(amazing!!) one i bought at kohls, the other at bb&b, both with a coupon. we'll never own a different brand

)... but now he curses the thing.

I'm having a hard time convincing my DH to buy a $400 vacuum (since I tend to go through them so fast), if I told him I wanted a $900 vacuum I'm pretty sure he would collapse to the floor.
I appreciate the review and I'm sure that is an excellent vaccuum, but definatley out of our price range, or at least my poor DH's price range. I'm by no means dissing your vaccum, please don't take this that way. I'm just laughing at the thought of what my DH would say.
