Dyson Owners - God Awful Noises

Inspired by another vacuum thread, I own the Dyson Animal, this thing really sucks in a good way

Every so often when vacuuming the rug, it makes a blood curdling, spine tingling, send the dogs & kids out of the room screaming noise, like being stuck between gears.

Anyone else experience this?

My Dsis has let me use her to vacuum her rug (not quite sure how that happened). It made that same noise when the fringe on the area rug got stuck in it.
But it is a great vacuum!

It does it when it hits the fringe and clogs up the beater bar and I've noticed is the rug ply is strong and you go against the grain it also will do it...So, it must have something to do with the beater bar being stopped or slowed down.
