DxDP - Which Resort

This might come across as a strange question, but which resort would you recommend staying at if you were going to book the DxDP, that would best take advantage of the plan?

We are thinking either BC or WL. We were originally booked at PORFQ, but this doesn't seem like a good spot for the dining plan (as we would have go elsewhere, via tranportaion, for most/all of our meals).

It will be me, DW and DD (with M&FIL for half the trip).

Thanks.

This past summer, 2 of us (2 adults) did the DxDP from POR and really did not have a lot of problem with using our credits. We tried to arrange our restaurant/table meals with which park/hotel area we were at. The only time that we had some weird travel was our last night when we went to the California Grill for dinner...from HS, stopped at POR to change and decided just to take a taxi and not use the bus system.

I'd say the Polynesian. Transporation to all the monorail resorts as well as MK and Epcot are really very easy. Definitely put in some signature dining experiences in there. Citricos is delish and Narcoossee's is not far behind. Both of those are at the Grand Floridian.

I think in order to use all of your credits it won't matter what resort you are staying at:confused3

I do dxDP every time and eat at every resort, and every park, and DTD. I really can't even pick one resort, but I suppose if I had a top 3 it would be AKL,GF,POLY. I eat both breakfast and dinner at all of these places. Don't ever stay there though, don't see the need, not for the dining plan anyway.

Good luck!

Funny that this question was asked...we originally were going to stay at the BCV. BUT...when I started looking at all of my dining ressies (Dxdp), I realized many of them were located around the MK...Calik Grill, Wave, HDDR, Backyard BBQ, Citricos, Ohana, CRT, Tony's, Crystal Palace...I realized that maybe we needed to stay at a monorail resort. I know...silly...transportation at Disney is really good so it doesn't matter THAT much. Just made sense to us, so we switched to the CR. Now travel time is much less with 3 kids and 2 grandparents in tow. Like a pp said, I wouldn't worry too much about your resort location.

I completely agree. We stayed at CSR but we ate meals at every park, every deluxe resort and at DTD. We only had one meal at CSR and it was on a whim. We never had any problems traveling to or from any of our meals because I planned them around or in the park that we would be at for the day.

But I I had to pick a hotel based n our ADR's, it would be a monorail resort because most of our meals are there or at MK or EPCOT.

Well, at the BC you have Yachtsman and Flying Fish as signatures right there. You'd also have 1 credits like Cape May Cafe, Kouzzina, Captains Grille and pretty much ALL the restuarants in Epcot are only a few minute walk away, and every country has a TS restaurant.

At WL, you'd have Artist Point as a signature and Whispering Cayon as a 1 credit. Plus, you could take the boat to Mk and hop on the monrail and then you have all the restaurants at those hotels (Narcoossees, Citricos, Calif Grill, 'Ohana).

If you like to be able to easily eat around your resort, I would not stay at POFQ as the transportation to other resort hotels would be difficult. Unless of course you want to eat all your meals in the parks...I just can't imagine doing that as all of the best signature restaurants are at deluxe resorts.
