DXDP vs. PremDP vs. PlatiDP

Okay, I'm going cross eyed here.....
I'm looking for the significant difference between the 3 highest level DPs. I see the difference between DxDP vs. PrDP is that you get appetizers on PrDP and PltDP. All seem to offer 2 snacks per day and the refillable mug.

Between PrDP and PltDP so far the only thing I have noticed is Victoria and Albert's is on the PltDP...

Are there any other significant differences between the top 3 to make one worth more than the others????

The Premium and Platinum plans really are not about the dining options, rather the other perks that come with them (use of golf, parasailing, etc.) The DxDDP is really the basis of the Premium and Platinum plans when it comes to dining with the exception of V&A.

At the end of this post is a link to the Disney pdf pages that describe the various dining plans and the MYW Platinum and Premium packages.

The DxDDP is the basis for the dining portion of the Platinum and Premium packages (all three include appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alc beverage), but on the DxDDP, signatures are 2 credits, while on the 2 higher level plans they are 1 credit and additional restaurants are included.

The Platinum and Premium are all inclusive, almost everything the World has to offer programs; the Platinum even more than the Premium. If you look at the pdf read what's available on pages 5 - 9 of the Platinum and pages 5-7 of the Premium. There are lots of sports, tours, entertainment, spa options, etc.

If you decide to do the Platinum or Premium there are a lot more details that someone who is more knowledgeable than I am can tell you.

OMG! I never looked that far on the pdf files of those brochures! WOW! The Premium and Platinum offer A LOT! Cirque tix and unlimited tours?!?!? Cool. DH likes the fishing aspect. Hmmmmmm, now to see if DVC members can get it. All that is listed on the DVC site is up to Delux dining, no Premium or Platinum options I can see. Might have to call tomorrow and check into it more.

That's my understanding, too, that DVC points stays and annual passholder packages cannot book Platinum nor Premium. You also can't upgrade a "free dining" package to Platinum or Premium.

Correct. DVC is only eligible for Quick Service, Basic Dining Plan and Deluxe Dining Plan.

Also, to note, the relevant cost per night of the Premium/Platinum plans is north of about $150 - $200.

You also have to pay rack rate for your room, and purchase ticket(s) to add the Platinum or Premium plans. As others said, no adding it to a DVC stay.

An option I've seen reports on is to book a 1- or 2-night stay at a value resort like POP with Premium or Platinum, typically for the night(s) before the DVC check-in. The required 1-day ticket doesn't expire until used and could be upgraded to an annual pass (though I'm not sure if it can apply to AP renewals), and I'm 99% sure its transferrable until used as well.

I'm 100% sure that MYW tickets can be used to renew APs (CF's ticket sticky post #7) as well as being transferable until used (it's probably in the sticky as well, but I was actually sure of this one )
