Can one person use DXDP credit for a meal at say Brown Derby while the other person pays OOP? Thinking of use two credits from deluxe plan for app, entree, and dessert with alcoholic beverage for lunch and the other person just pays OOP for a cobb salad. Allowed or not?

Yes, you don't have to pay the same way for everyone at the table. We did this a lot when DD was a little younger - sometimes, she would want something from the kids menu or just an appetizer, and paying OOP allowed us to save that credit for a more expensive meal.

Thanks. Still trying to figure out specific restaurants and what one are worth visiting for food and beverage with new 2018 options for alcohol. It always seems like there is ONE item worth the dining plan and the other 3 or 4 choices are not. If I get a steak, my wife would rather have seafood or a salad so paying OOP is always better.

We do this at Le Cellier, because I want the soup and poutine. I take a few bites of husband’s steak, and I am set!
