The Pre-trip plans
We had a reservation for here on our last trip and ended up canceling it, because the kids didnt want to go.. This time I am keeping this reservation, no matter what, I want to have the maple creme brulee and no one is going to stop me....lol. But first I will have the lump crab and corn custard for my app and the salmon for my dinner. My little carnivore, I am sure will order the steak, fruit for her app and sorbet or tofutti for dessert.
The Actual
BREAD - We tried all three, I like the pretzel the best, but it wasnt any different then the pretzel rolls we have had in the past at Beirgarten or CRT. Birthday girl like the pretzel one the best too.

APP - carrots and celery sticks, with vinaigrette instead of ranch - good dressing really good.
ENTREE - Kids steak, with string beans and carrots. - good
DESSERT - Honey Mandarin sorbet - delicious (I had a small taste and this was way better then my dessert)
BEVERAGE - Hot tea

Day 4. Thursday January 13th
Breakfast
We are going to grab some snacks for breakfast this morning. And we did the night before from the french bakery, we got a croissant and an almond filled pastry, that we didnt ever find out the name of. They were both very good, but I liked the Almond one better. - She liked the Croissant better, thought the almond one was just ok

Lunch today was going to be at The Brown Derby. But once the birthday girl found out about the trip she said the one restaurant she want to go to that I didnt have on the list was the Rose and Crown. So a quick ADR change was made before with left for the trip
The Pre-trip plans
I am guessing the Potato leek soup, and the Fish and Chips it will be for both of us. Unsure about dessert we may not even order any, due to tonights plans.
The Actual
Bread - ok rolls, nothing special, one that you need to par bake, actually come frozen from the food supplier - went well with the soup, but didnt have much flavor. Birthday girl said it was ok

APP - kids potato leek soup - good (her portion was very small, thechild at the next table got a differtent sized bowl then either of us)
ENTREE - Kids fish and chip with peas- good

For my app I will choice the crab cake, the macadamia nut chicken and will probably not order dessert. The birthday girl will probably order the salmon or pasta, and no desert for her either. We have eaten at the Express location before, but this was the first time at the Café.

Bread - a very nice flat bread and some squares of a white bread with olive oil to dip. - Birthday girl like this one, I thought it was good.

DESSERT - we decided to order the lava cake to share, didnt finish it, but it was very good, garnished with ice cream, whipped cream and strawberries. We would have finished it, if it hadnt been for our plans later that evening/

Wishes Dessert party, her brother booked it for her as his birthday present to her. Since it was paid for by her bother and would not have been a credit anyways I am not adding this to the total.
This was a lot of fun, we were seated at the front table at the point, and were able to stay seated, for the whole thing, no one went up to the rail and I had read, in previous dining reports.
