DxDDP and Beaches and Cream question

At beaches and cream, what exactly would be considered the appetizers? Also i see the sundaes are huge there, would they be considered as one dessert or would it count as 2 desserts? This is our first time on a dining plan and also our first time ever eating at a WDW restaurant so thank you for any help.

On the deluxe plan, appetizers includ onion rings and chili. I think chicken noodle soup, too.

Any dessert except the Kitchen Sink can be ordered. Each dessert counts as one.
