We're trying to decide which to stay at. We have 2 small children (7 and 3). I can't get a water view for YC but can get a courtyard view at WL. (After reading about possible snakes, I will be BEGGING to be on any floor but the first.)

Thoughts?

This will be our first visit with our kids. My husband and I were there for our honeymoon over 13 years ago. We're really excited! : ):yay:

Hey! Those are two awesome deluxe hotels. I believe that you and your family would enjoy the WL better. For the kids, the pool is extravagant with tons of little flowing rivers and waterfalls all over the pool. There are lots of life-size totum poles in the lobby. Here, they are carved into famous Disney characters that your kids will recognize and be amazed with. Also, the Whispering Canyon Cafe is a fun interactive restaurant where hoedowns and hokey-pokies go down in the middle of your meal! The waiters are full in character with loud southern accents and loaded with personality, not afraid to yell across the room for a bottle of ketchup. Hahha. Beware of the ketchup! (if you've eaten here, you understand) :rotfl: The kids will also love the closeness of the resort to the Magic Kingdom, the river that runs through the lobby, and a realistic geyser!

Don't get me wrong, the YC is an amazing hotel too. But, I feel its more for adults looking to escape from the noise and just relax. It has good restaurants and the pool is TO DIE for. Comparing them overall, the WL seems to be a better choice for your family. Whichever you pick, I'm sure that ya'll will have a blast!

Thanks for the great response, hellodisneysunshine!

I was hoping for WL. We haven't been there to eat. Now, I'll know to watch for ketchup!
