You and Nicole are in my prayers. I'm a cancer survivor too and got some great advice when I was going through chemo 13 years ago. A dear friend of the family who is a Catholic Priest and also a clinical physologist put me under hypnosis to get me through chemo. Basically it was positive thoughts. A calming technique to let the body relax and let the drugs fight the bad cells without the body fighting the drugs. I think it helped a lot.

The main point is if Nicole can find positive things to concentate on and rid her mind of worry during the chemo and after the better chance her body has to let the drugs do their work.

Here's hoping that the session goes smoothly.

My prayers are being sent. I love your signature......sock it to them!

Make sure you take something to pass the time. I am not sure how long your DW's treatment is...My Mom's is 4-5hrs, so we take dominoes to play and she has helped me with some of my craft items. Mom also treats herself out to eat after the treatment....she spends a lot of time thinking of the food she will eat when she has completed her treatment.

My boss is 6 years cancer free (YAY!), and she says this first day, this first treatment is the scariest. After that, it is a (proverbial) cake walk (relative term)

Thanks everyone. She's in her treatment right now. Her Mom took her today and my Mom's picking up Cameron from pre-school this afternoon, so there's not much left for me to do but go to work and wait to hear how it went. It'll probably be a long weekend, but we've got a great support system, so that helps.
