Hi -

I hope this is the right place to post this! Please redirect if it is not :cutie:

We are west coasters who have been to Disneyland many, many times, and usually I love to plan our trips, but this trip is making me squirrelly!! This spring we are heading to the east coast for the first time, starting at USO, then DCL, and ending at DW.

I am really overwhelmed by the ticketing and booking things in advanced details - can someone please help me to understand if I have this correct??

-we are booked at the Beach Club, and I have received my package and activated our My Disney Experience Account
-in November (180 days) we have to make any advanced DR we would like
-in March (60 days) we have to book our FP+ items

My questions:
-Do I actually have the above correct*?
-Do we need to have our tickets purchased and linked to our My Disney Experience account to book the ADRs?
-Am a correct with the assumption that I can book ADRs through the My Disney Account I have set up?
-There are two tours we would like to do, can I book them online through the My Disney Experience account as well??

*The fact that I am confused by this is driving me batty! I am an executive assistant, working fulltime and in school fulltime - I basically spend my life keeping myself and others organized - but Disney and their My Disney Experience/ADRs/FP+ systems have broke me :guilty: :crazy2: ;)

Thank you disboard experts :)

Yes, the info you have is right as far as the timing of things goes. ADRs can be done online starting at 6 a.m. (Eastern) 180 days before the start of your trip. Since you're staying onsite, you can book your reservations for the length of your stay (up to 10 days, I think?)

You do NOT need park tickets in order to book your dining.

You DO need park tickets to book your FP+. And you really should check out Mesaboy2's thread for more info because it's awesome.

My experience with tours (which, I admit, is limited) is that you have to call. And once you book it via phone, it won't show up in your MDE account. At least, that was the case for the tour we did. Things may have changed since then, though, so hopefully others will chime in.

Have a great trip!

You have the time frames correct.
You don't have to have any tickets purchased to book your ADRs. Except when dining in a park, no one needs a ticket to make a dining reservation. And dining and tickets are two separate things so you can make your ADRs 180 days in advance and buy your tickets later.
Yes, you can make your ADRs through the My Disney Experience.
Not sure about the tours.

Basically, the My Disney Experience is the one place where everything you have going for your trip can be stored. It's that information that a MagicBand can access if you have one - if not, it's just in your account to be accessed when you need it. I don't use an App - I just do everything from my home desktop PC and go old school and write it down before I get to Disney World.

For Tours you need to call the tour phone number. I think it's 407-WDW-TOUR, and book as soon as you can. The one I want has been booked for months and I'm so sad :(
