It's been 5 years since DH and I have been to the World. Before we went the last time, I remember reading numerous threads about some food item that people got in (I believe) a booth at World Showcase. I think it was some kind of fried dough-ish stuff, but people raved about it, and there was some upset when they stopped preparing them fresh. I think that they were topped with fruit?

Obviously they don't have these anymore, but I was curious as to whether anybody remembers what I'm talking about?

It sounds like you mean beaver tails. I never had one, but I remember everybody loved them.

Or possible funnel cakes but these are still available in America. It has it's own little kiosk on the right if you are facing the pavillion.

They were indeed, the late, lamented Beaver Tails, sold in Canada. I loved the one with lemon juice and my daughter would kill anyone who touched her hazelnut one.
I haven't been to the world in 7 long years, and when I found out the tails were no longer available, it was a sad day indeed.
Yet another reason to take a trip to Toronto!(love the CNE)

Bo you mean something like Beignats? They have these at POFQ.
