DVR - Don't you wish.......

I wish the DVR service was included in my monthly cable bill. The box is included, but if we actually want to be able to "record" and "play" when we hit that button we have to pay Comcast an extra $10-$15 extra a month. It's such a tease. I refuse to pay it (for now). I already pay Comcast $105 a month (for cable and internet) the DVR service should be included IMO!

Got you one beat - we have 3 DVR's. How sad is that - although there are 5 of us, but we usually tape the shows so we can watch them together.

Some shows we tape in the upstairs family room & some in the downstairs rec room/basement.

We can record up to 4 at one time, and watch any of those or regular TV while they are being recorded.

The thing I don't like is that you can only erase and pre-record from the one main TV remote. We can watch recorded shows from any TV in the house though, so I can live with that.

Call them and ask for a discount.
I have two HD dvrs which are $15 dollars a month and two regular boxes.
We also have all the premium channels. My bill is $95 less then it should be because I called comcast and told them to lower it or I drop them.
Every month I get a $25 dollar credit for the boxes and the rest is applied to their other services.

same here. we can record two and watch another as long as it is from the recorded library.

Have you looked into the $1000 TIVO models. I am sure they could do it. Hehehehehe

We have two DVRs and can record up to 3 shows at once and watch two already recorded shows.

I have only had a problem on Tuesdays. We like to DVR Biggest Loser (without the commercials and the weepy stuff it's like 45 minutes long), DH and DS like "Fringe", and I'd like to see the last few "Scrubs"--Tuesday I watched those upstairs because the other two were on DVR.

We are not winter sport people, so that's pretty much our entertainment during these cold weather months.

We have 5 tv's in our house and all five have DVR's
