DVD trade in for cash?

Anyone know of a good site to trade DVDs for cash? I've considered Amazon, but although they quote a certain price, one you actually select that movie it seems to change to $0.25 unless it is still in the original plastic shrink wrap. I would rather do one big trade, than sell individually on half.com or ebay. Just easier...

After a recommendation from somebody on here over a year ago, I have sold to secondspin.com They do re-imburse you for your shipping charges. Some of the DVD's or CD's I have wanted to sell them, they only list as being worth $0.05, so watch out as you are plugging them all into their web site.

If it's a season, you might try Target stores- they are buying back used season DVD's and certain electronics in return for Target Gift Cards. Search the Target website online for more details, or call your local store...

I think the reason a lot of the "prices" one can get as a cash trade in for DVD media is so low is pretty simple... there just isn't that much money to be made on the resale. A typical DVD, brand new, is in the neighborhood of about $20... that may quickly drop to $15 or even $10 within a year or less. A used DVD will be worth even less.

For a company to repurchase used media, and do what's then necessary to resell it, there's a lot of overhead, even before they make a profit... that's why they can't pay much for them. Or, to put it another way, once you add in a middle man, they just simply aren't worth anything.

Yep... it is easier. But all that work you're looking to avoid is where all the value is going.
